Healing from Trauma
Learning all the ways that trauma can affect you, is very powerful. Once you can identify the trauma and its effects on you, you will be able to begin the change. The author of this book has done a good job of giving us a comprehensive working that will allow us to do just that. We are given the ways to recognize our trauma, effective coping strategies, ways to rewrite our narrative around our trauma and how to build resilience. What I also loved was the chapter on how to seek professional help. I think our society has a ways to go in eliminating the stigma with seeking help, and this book does a great job of addressing concerns one might have. Not just for people living with trauma, this book will be helpful to those who have loved ones and want to help them.
